Column widths and curent kit info

Postby rustman » Fri Jun 15, 2012 6:24 am

Hi folks. I tried to play catch up here before posting, so hopefully these things haven't already been discussed. First off, I love SSD4 Platinum.

I realized just today that you can now hover your mouse and see what kit is loaded when you open SSD from within an existing track in your DAW. (I use Reaper). Sweet! Nice work!

I have a massive collection of 3rd party midi grooves loaded in and I've found that there are times when the file names are too long to fit in the columns within the UI. Some of my files all begin with the same sequence of characters and only the last characters make them named uniquely. When this can't fit into the column, then all of these files display with the same name (did that make sense?). I think a resizeable UI would be the best, however, a scroll bar would suffice in this case.

It would be even sweeter if there were a couple of text boxes at the top that displayed the current kit and maybe selected groove when the UI is opened from a track in a DAW. The full path would be helpful for the groove name as well.

Finally, the big one- It would be great if I could audition grooves in the context of my playing projects both time synced and synced to the bar (like er...um...Acid Pro 7 allows in their media browser). :)

Thanks for listening. ;)

Not many replies here for posts I see, including mine. I won't waste any more time trying to offer constructive feedback. Hope you enjoy the stack of money I paid for SSD4 Platinum.
