Ability to use with Drumagog 5 or Trigger

Postby neilwilkes » Sat Feb 04, 2012 6:00 pm

WIll it be possible to use the SSD4 with Drumagog 5 or trigger at any point?
Currently, I cannot access the samples in trigger, and I cannot trigger the kit at all from Drumagog 5.
Makes it very difficult to use.....

Please read this info about Trigger and SSD : viewtopic.php?f=12&t=2729

Also , SSD3.5 files (nkx or nkc ) or SSD4 files (ssd or ssi) are not supported by Trigger. I've read somewhere that new samples from SSD4 will make it as new expansion pack for Trigger in the future. But no official news that i know of have been ''published'' by Steven yet.

Hi Jason.

That's not quite what I was asking about, really - I am fully aware that the 2 are very different animals for different purposes.
What I was trying to find out is how to use SSD4 within Drumagog 5, which is perfectly capable of loading any VSTi into it's interface, allowing me to create a kit in the instrument in the normal manner and trigger the kit from within Drumagog - I was most definitely not looking to use the samples from one in the other, as I know this is not possible since the GOG/WAV files were removed from SSD3.5 and replaced with the Platinum pack of Trigger (which I bought, in addition to SSD 3.5 EX).

All I am trying to do is send a MIDI signal from Drumagog 5 to SSD4. I am not trying to use SSD4 as a replacement tool, but as it's designed function within Drumagog 5 as the host. SSD4 will probably need a "learn MIDI incoming" tyope function to get the right kit pieces triggering, but it works with BFD2 inside Drumagog 5 beautifully.
As SSD4 is a VSTi, I can easily load it into Drumagog 5, but it will not accept the incoming MIDI signals, and I cannot find a way to get t to "listen" for them - surely this should work?

You can send midi notes from Trigger EX or Platinum to anything you want. Pick up the EX version of Trigger and trigger away SSD 4.0

Doesn't work.
I have Trigger Platinum, and it cannot see the SSD4 samples.
Also, I cannot see any way to get SSD4 to trigger from Drumagog 5.
I can load it into the plugins part of D5, but it will not respoind to incoming MIDI from Drumagog, and I cannot see any way to teach it what to listen for as incoming MIDI.

Any help gratefully appreciated here as there are some top sounds in SSD4 that I really want to utilize, but at this point I am simply unable to do so.

I don't want to use Trigger for this, I want to use Drumagog 5.
I have to, because the client & co-producer only has D5, not Trigger.

I still also see no way at all to trigger from SSD4.
I have trigger Platinum, so that ought to do the job, surely?
