Thts what I am trying to do, and, I have (in all honesty) no clue where to start!

I have 3.5, all of it, and, also now got 4ex, but, anyone got any ideas/suggestions on which kit pieces to use to try and get this kinda tone?

I used the Deluxe Rock Kit 20 as the base kit (don't know if it's on EX), then started blending some other SSD samples with it. Trick is to get a nice low end on the kick without letting it be too obtrusive, and a thick body on the snare. The ~200 Hz area is critical to achieve those fat snare sounds. Also, it's very important to let the overhead and room sounds breathe some life into the drum mix (meaning: don't HP too much).

Have upgraded to platinum so, will have a play. Its the settings you mentioned that are new to me (am mainly a guitarist but I am really getting into production now)
